Introduction

My name is Jodi Fawcett.  I am a 4th grade teacher with Millard Public Schools.  I graduated with my undergrad degree from UNO back in 1998.
My experience with technology is not that great.  I am a Mac person and can do iMovie fairly well.  I had to make a blog in another class, but have done nothing with it since and wouldn't even know how to get to it now.  In my classroom, I am comfortable with my overhead projector.  I do pull out our media cart from time to time to show videos from my computer or to use the Elmo.  As far as what version of Office I have, I couldn't tell you.  I know it is a newer one.  (Can you tell I don't know much?!)
I chose to get my Master's degree at PSC because I am not able to go to night classes with my children at home.  It has had its challenges for me as I like to have face to face interaction and not have to wait for a response, but it has been convenient for me to work from home.

  1. Hi Jodi!
How old are your kids? I don't have any myself...but I also found it more convenient to take an online master's program through Peru. I didn't really have time for night classes and I didn't want to only take summer classes, because I knew that would take a long time for me to finish the program. I also miss the face to face interaction, but so far my experience with the cohort has been pretty good! (with the exception of a few classes)

  2. How long have you taught at Millard? Do you like the Millard School System? I know a few teachers who teach at Millard and love it.

Taking classes online is definitely convenient but wow this is intense. It is so much to do so fast. I will be so happy when I am done and don't have to worry about checking blackboard everyday! I bet you feel the same way.
